Team Leader – Credit Research & Company Profiling

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Team Leader – Credit Research & Company Profiling
to lead a team of analysts responsible for conducting comprehensive business research, credit
assessments, and risk analysis for global clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership
capabilities, excellent analytical skills, and extensive experience in financial and company due diligence.
The Team Leader will oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality report delivery, mentor team
members, and maintain compliance with internal quality standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
 Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of Credit Research Analysts.
 Allocate workloads and manage team productivity to ensure timely project completion.
 Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and skill development initiatives.
 Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
 Monitor team KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.
Credit Research & Company Profiling
 Oversee detailed company profiling and credit research using public and subscription-based
databases.
 Review financial statements, business operations, ownership structures, management profiles,
and industry performance.
 Analyze creditworthiness, financial stability, and potential business risks.
 Evaluate risk indicators including legal, operational, financial, and compliance-related concerns.
 Ensure accurate interpretation of financial ratios, trends, and business performance metrics.
Verification & Due Diligence
 Guide the team in conducting company verification through:
o MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs)
o GST Portals
o IEC (Import Export Code) Databases
o International Company Registries
o Regulatory and Compliance Sources
 Validate ownership structures, registration details, and operational legitimacy.
 Ensure adherence to established due diligence procedures and verification protocols.
Report Quality & Delivery Management
 Review and approve structured credit assessment reports before client delivery.
 Ensure reports meet client-specific guidelines and quality standards.
 Maintain high levels of accuracy, consistency, and documentation quality.
 Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and improve report effectiveness.
 Drive continuous improvements in reporting methodologies and research processes.
Stakeholder Coordination
 Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Operations, and Delivery teams to ensure seamless workflow
management.
 Act as the primary escalation point for complex research and credit assessment cases.
 Support client queries, audits, and special projects as required.
 Coordinate with management on resource planning, process enhancements, and performance
reporting.
Process Improvement & Compliance
 Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
 Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and client requirements.
 Maintain updated knowledge of financial analysis techniques, credit risk methodologies, and
regulatory changes.
 Develop and implement best practices across the research and reporting functions.
Required Qualifications
 Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a
related field.
 Master's Degree / MBA (Finance) preferred.
 Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent are an added
advantage.

Experience Requirements
 8 + years of experience in Credit Research, Financial Analysis, Business Research, Due Diligence,
or Risk Assessment.
 Minimum 2–3 years of team handling or supervisory experience.
 Experience working with international company verification and credit assessment projects
preferred.
